The district administration in Indore has begun the process of providing land ownership rights to residents of 29 villages that were included within the municipal corporation limits in 2014. Those residing in these villages without a lease can now apply for land holding rights, as directed by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. This initiative aims to address the challenges faced by landowners who lack proper documentation for their properties, hindering their ability to sell or obtain loans. Eligible individuals can submit applications for a 30-year lease, facilitating easier access to loans and property transactions. Camps will be set up at tehsil offices on September 29, 2024, to accept applications, and online applications will also be available. Applicants are required to provide specific documents for verification, such as utility bills, official correspondence, and property tax receipts.
